Jennifer Lopez’s hopes of having a tour as successful as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour or Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour have taken a major blow as the pop star/actress was forced to cancel multiple tour dates due to low ticket sales.

Lopez’s “This Is Me… Now” Tour, which is attached to the release of her new album and bizarre Prime Video movie, had to cancel stops in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston due to low ticket sales, according to Variety.

The “This Is Me… Now” tour is set to be Lopez’s first concert tour in five years.

“While the tour is still scheduled for a robust 30 shows, large numbers of tickets at most of the tour’s dates remain unsold, judging by the seating charts on Ticketmaster.com.”

“While such charts are not always completely accurate, the blue (available) segments of the seating charts on most dates are overwhelmingly larger than the grey (unavailable) ones.” [via Variety]

It’s not all bad news for Lopez’s tour, however, as she added additional shows in Toronto, Miami, and New York City due to the high demand.

Released on February 16, This Is Me… Now is the ninth studio album of Lopez’s career and features 13 tracks. So far, three singles have been released to promote the album: “Can’t Get Enough”, “Rebound”, and “This Time Around.”

The release of the album was also accompanied by Lopez’s film This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, which featured Jane Fonda, Fat Joe, Kim Petras, Keke Palmer, Post Malone, Sofía Vergara, Jenifer Lewis, Jay Shetty, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Sadhguru, Derek Hough, Trevor Noah and her husband Ben Affleck.

Despite the reported concerns of her team, Lopez financed the $20 million project itself, which currently has a 75% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

This Is Me… Now is available to stream on all major music platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Music.
