‘Sho Time’ Mania Overtakes Los Angeles As Ohtani Continues Impressive Spring With Dodgers

“Sho Time” is in full effect as Shohei Ohtani continues an impressive spring with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The designated hitter was the league’s most notable addition of the offseason, and a number of suitors came calling.

In the end, it was the Dodgers who won out – though it came with a hefty price tag.

Based on his performance thus far in the team’s Spring Training session, it will be well worth it.

Everyone is itching to see Ohtani in an LA uniform, and for good reason!

Ohtani posted a monster season in 2023 with the Angels as both a pitcher and a hitter, leading the American League in home runs while also posting a 10-5 overall record on the mound. In doing so, he landed his second MVP in the last three seasons.

Unfortunately, the phenom was injured near the end of that campaign, needing offseason elbow surgery to repair a torn UCL. For that reason, the Dodgers won’t see Ohtani toe the rubber this year, but they might not care!

He’s been absolutely raking this offseason, flexing his muscle in the batter’s box.

Los Angeles’s social media team posted a recent POV clip of his first BP session with the team, where he belted homers on more than half of the pitches he saw.

The competition cranked up a bit as Spring Training continued on this week, but the Dodgers saw the same result!

Shohei Ohtani hit a HR in his first live BP session.

The slugger stepped up to the dish to face some live pitching Monday, using the moment to further display his prowess at the plate.

The Dodgers posted a video of Ohtani on their YouTube page leaving the yard (again).

He doesn’t miss!

Los Angeles is looking to make it back to the postseason again in 2024 after winning the NL West for the 10th time in the last 11 seasons last year.

Ohtani, meanwhile, is looking to make his first playoff appearance as an MLB player.

With another monster year seemingly in sight, he shouldn’t have much trouble making that vision come true.
