Miranda Lambert first came to fame back in 2003 and became one of country music‘s biggest stars.
These days, you can catch her in Las Vegas most of the time, but she does still travel the globe for shows periodically.
She still has a giant fan base and people love watching her perform, as her ticket prices don’t come cheap.
However, Lambert caught some flack recently after she was caught on video calling out her fans for simply taking selfies.
The country music star began singing one of her songs, but abruptly ended it when she noticed some fans taking pictures of themselves. It apparently upset Miranda Lambert so much that she just had to say something about it.
Here’s the viral video from Pop Crave.
Miranda Lambert stops show to call out two fans taking a selfie:
“These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song, it’s pissing me off a little bit. Sorry, I don’t like it at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country… pic.twitter.com/sERBzalpBI

I’m not entirely sure why people are cheering, as it’s just a bizarre scene. Like, does Miranda Lambert know that you can listen to music while taking a selfie at the same time?
On the other hand, maybe their flash was on and the light was distracting her. But then again, she’s been in this game for 20 years. So you’d think she’d be used to it by now.
Most of the fans in attendance sided with Lambert but it was a completely different reaction on social media.
Way to embarrass and shame your loyal fans who adore you. She could’ve poked fun and posed in the selfie and then encouraged them to be in the moment after that. Not cool

You’re telling me you can’t see the sounds?
We’re here to HEAR some country music, so give me your eyes?? She’s also literally just standing still what is there to see

I’ve been doing it for years.
Most people can listen and take pictures at the same time.

Couldn’t explain it any better myself.
this was a bad move imo as an artist I love seeing people having fun and taking photos at my show. it’s good marketing but it also just means they are having a good night w their friends which you’re there to provide. what if they were like singing along and taking a video??…

With that said, it’s not a great look for Miranda Lambert. Luckily for her it’s not anything serious enough that would get her canceled.
But it does create the possibility of country music fans thinking twice about attending one of her shows.
