It looks like Dan Snyder is going to make a ridiculous amount of money whenever he ends up selling the Washington Commanders.
Fans have been expecting a sale for some time now as Snyder faces allegations of workplace misconduct that have now hung over the organization for years, but the sale has yet to come.
It seems that is in spite of Snyder getting offered some unbelievable sums of money to sell the team.
According to a report from Forbes, Dan Snyder has received bids for the Commanders that are worth “well north” of $7 billion.

The team was only valued at $5.6 billion earlier this year. For comparison, the most expensive team in the league right now is believed to be the Dallas Cowboys with a value of $8 billion. If the Commanders are worth more than 7, that estimate may be a bit low on the Cowboys, who are a much bigger brand and don’t have nearly as many issues right now.
This kind of purchase price would also demolish the record for highest ever for a North American sports franchise. That record is currently held by the Denver Broncos. who were sold for $4.65 million over the summer.
If Dan Snyder is really receiving offers like this then I don’t know why the NFL’s owners would even need to try and force him out. With that possibility of the rest of the league’s owners trying to force him out, you’d think he’d take one of these offers and run.
These offers have to be way more money than he had been expecting to be offered with the investigation into the organization and the rough state of FedEx Field.
Maybe this bidding war for the Commanders will help make this transition go bit more smoothly.
