Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman was at the center of controversy on Saturday night.
At UFC Atlantic City, Weidman hit Bruno Silva with a 1-2 eyepoke combo that dropped his opponent. The ref eventually stopped the fight as Weidman began pummeling him.
This is wildest shit I've ever seen.
A double eye poke combination lol. And this was just scored as a TKO for Weidman. Wild. pic.twitter.com/pmhLQ4Epvd— MartialMind

The initial TKO ruling was changed to a decision win for Weidman, but fans were not happy that he was granted a W when he should have probably been disqualified.
The result has changed, per @BrendanFitzTV.
Chris Weidman wins by unanimous decision. The commission went to the scorecards at the point of the foul, and Weidman won that way. #UFCAtlanticCity

“That should’ve been a DQ win for Silva or at the very least a no contest. Weidman clearly poked Silva in that last sequence.
Big miss by the commission in New Jersey”“Getting a stoppage with a 1-2 of egregious eye pokes and only having it changed to a UD instead of NC or DQ is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen in a while. MMA is not a real sport man”
