Hike America's battlefields with Grunt Style and American Grit

Over the last six months, my wife and I have traveled across the country and seen so much of what makes this country great. My wife loves the outdoors, so naturally we’ve hiked through national parks like Acadia in Maine and Joshua Tree in California.

As a history nerd, I’m always on the lookout for interesting historical sites. The best of both of our worlds is to hike through the sites of these battlefields, as discussed by Grunt Style and American Grit.

If you’re going to visit national parks or anywhere else with natural landscapes, I’d always recommend looking up hikes for those locations. It’s a great way to take your time and take in the scenery. If you’re on the road this year looking to see some of these historical battlefields, here are five of the more popular destinations:
