Arch Manning’s recruitment is set to heat up over the next 12 months.
As the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2023 decides on where he is going to play his college ball, his timeline is starting to shrink. Now that the Class of 2022 has signed with their respective programs, attention turns to next year. Manning will have two opportunities to sign.
Should he come to a decision by December, he could make things official during the early signing period. Should he choose to wait until the deadline, he has until National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
As of right now, his recruitment is down to four schools and they make for an amazing acronym. He recently removed one big name from his list, per reports, and will focus-in on his decision after his high school basketball season comes to a close this spring.
In the meantime, Texas appears to be positioning itself as best it can.
The addition of Cutcliffe could help Texas’ case to land Manning.
Cutcliffe is known for his quarterback development. Most notably, he coached Peyton Manning as the offensive coordinator at Tennessee and then Eli Manning as the head coach at Ole Miss.
The Manning family has deep-rooted ties to Cutcliffe and his family which could provide a bump with Arch in regard to his decision. The key word being — could.
