Ralph Lauren Is Getting Roasted For Selling Paint-Splattered Coveralls That Cost More Than $800

What is wrong with people in fashion? Last month we had Gucci getting mocked for selling fake grass-stained jeans for $1,200, and now we’ve got Ralph Lauren selling paint-splattered coveralls for $808.

Seriously. Look at this.

Who is buying this? Better yet, who is buying these pre-paint splattered coveralls then actually going out in public wearing them?

!

They are literally called “Paint-Splatter Coveralls” on Ralph Lauren’s website.

“Made from Japanese cotton satin with the reverse side facing out. Utility pockets. Allover paint splatters,” reads the description.

• Classic fit with a straight leg.
• Size M has a 47 cm shoulder, a 111.8 cm chest, an 88.9 cm sleeve length, a 71.8 cm inside leg and a 48.3 cm leg opening. Sleeve length changes 2.5 cm between sizes.
• Point collar. Full-zip front.
• Long sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Corozo buttons.
• Left chest flapped pocket. Two front angled pockets. Right hip coin pocket. Two back patch pockets. Right leg tool pocket.
• Adjustable snapped tabs at the back of the waist.
• 100% cotton.
• Machine washable.
• Imported.

Oh, thank goodness, they’re machine washable and have Corozo buttons.

I can’t even… and neither can anyone else on the internet.

Maybe these coveralls are meant to be worn as a Halloween costume -a very, very expensive Halloween costume.

Just to drive me and others even more crazy, Ralph Lauren’s Twitter account actually has the nerve to state, “Defining timeless style since 1967.”
