This week, I had the honor and privilege of joining the Oh Yeah Oh Yeah: Entourage Podcast to discuss Season 1: Episode 7 of Entourage. AKA the first time we meet Billy Walsh.
As a person who generally doesn’t rewatch entire TV series, I had not watched Season 1 of Entourage since probably 2004. I had to go back and watch the entire first season to get my head back in the fucking game.
I could have probably just watched this episode, but I wanted to brush up on everything that happened so I could speak to not only the entrance of Billy Walsh, but also where the season has taken us so far.Episode 7, while not the funniest Entourage episode of all time, was an important episode because not only did it introduce us to Billy Walsh, it was instrumental in pushing the story along and ultimately setting up the season finale and what would come in season 2. However, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows for this episode. And there were plenty of non-Billy Walsh things to discuss like how virtually everyone associated with Vinny Chase really struggled with the idea of Vince playing a gay character. Well, everyone except Drama, because everyone knows Johnny Chase would take it in the ass for an Oscar.
