Bucks Guard Patrick Beverley Banned From ESPN Appearances After Game 6 Outbursts

Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley has always been known as a player who was liable for the occasional outburst throughout his long NBA career.

One of those outbursts happened on Thursday in the Bucks’ season-ending game 6 loss to the Indiana Pacers. In fact, incidents both on and off the court tarnished his image, and has forced ESPN to decide he is no longer welcome as a guest on their networks.

Late in Thursday’s loss, a ball was tossed by someone sitting courtside back towards the Bucks bench. Beverley caught the ball, and fired it back into the crowd. Take a look.

Yeah, that’s a terrible look. C’mon, PBev.

And, Patrick Beverley did nothing to help himself out after the game. When asked a question by ESPN’s Malinda Adams, who has covered some of the biggest names and stories in sports, Beverley refused to answer the question because she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast, The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone. That seems ridiculous to read, but he actually did say that! Clearly, both of these incidents crossed the line on acceptable behavior.

And, ESPN has had enough. According to

, his disrespect of Malinda Adams was too much and he is no longer allowed on the network’s shows.

Following his disrespectful treatment of an ESPN producer, Bucks guard Patrick Beverley is now persona non grata at the country’s biggest sports network, Front Office Sports has learned.

ESPN management has banned Beverley from making further guest appearances on studio shows such as First Take and Get Up, according to sources familiar with the network’s thinking.

To Beverley’s credit, he did apologize to Adams on Friday.

Ultimately, even an apology couldn’t save Beverley from the consequences here. After 11 seasons in the league, he should know better.
