4kWh lithium-ion battery pack and the world’s first E-Twin power unit. The two high-output electric motors from Zero Motorcycles drive a common output shaft. Heart-pumping performance numbers from the Zeus should be around 170 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque. The Zeus is still in the prototype phase, meaning nothing is set in stone. In fact, Curtiss boasts that the kWh figure will probably increase before the Zeus debuts sometime in 2020.The Zeus features Race Tech shocks front and rear, Beringer double rotor brakes, and carbon fiber wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. There’s an iPad in the dash and all LED lighting. There is also see-through panels to reveal the electric powerplant components from Zero. Birmingham, Alabama-based Curtiss Motorcycles, formerly Confederate Motorcycles, brought the Zeus to the annual Quail Motorcycle Gathering and it turned heads. At the motorcycle rally in Carmel, California, the Zeus won the show’s “Most Innovative Motorcycle” award.
