Chiefs-Jets Ticket Sales Have Doubled Due To Taylor Swift, Ticket Prices Skyrocketing

Taylor Swift is the ultimate needle mover for the NFL these days.

Last week, Swift made headlines when she attended the Chiefs-Bears game to watch rumored boyfriend Travis Kelce play.

Thanks to Swift, the NFL saw a ratings increase, especially from female viewers ages 12 to 49.

On Wednesday, Front Office Sports revealed that the pop star would also be attending this weekend’s Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium, and her rumored presence is already causing a stir at the box office.

According to Stub Hub, Chiefs-Jets ticket sales doubled overnight due to Swift.

Ticket prices for the game have also begun to skyrocket.

Ticketmaster is the official ticketing partner of the NFL. As of Wednesday, the best available price for two tickets (including fees) to Sunday night’s game on Ticketmaster is $169.55 in Section 347, Row 13.

However, with the announcement of Swift being in attendance, those same tickets in Section 347, Row 13 are now $289.35 (including fees), a near $120 increase in less than 24 hours.

TickPick reports that prices were dropping for the Chiefs-Jets game before Swift’s announcement.

The get-in for the Chiefs @ Jets game has risen from $83 to $117 since it was rumored Taylor Swift would be attending.

Prices were dropping up until that announcement.
