It appears that Conor McGregor is still pushing to fight in December.
On Saturday, UFC Fight Pass appeared to accidentally post that McGregor would be fighting Chandler at UFC 296 in Vegas in December.
McGregor reshared the Fight Pass announcement on his Twitter page which led to a fan frenzy.

Sean O’Malley told Pat McAfee during an intervieW that he and McGregor hoped to co-headline the December card in Vegas.
Last week, UFC president Dana White told the Daily Wire that Chandler vs. McGregor would likely happen early next year.
“Obviously, we’re running this whole season of The Ultimate Fighter. To not do that fight would be ridiculous, but we’re working on it. I’m hoping we can do it early next year.”
McGregor still has some drug testing hurdles with USADA to hash out which makes an end of the year return complicated.
