We just keep rollin’ folks. After sticking with the underdog Nuggets in Game 7 against the Clippers on Wednesday night, we’re now 8-2 with our picks in these NBA Playoffs and have yet to lose two consecutive bets. I’m no expert, but I think that’s pretty good.
Tonight we only have one game on the slate with the Lakers-Nuggets getting the Western Conference Finals underway inside the bubble.

We’ve gone on our run this postseason by keeping things as simple as possible with our picks and we’re going to continue to do just that for Friday night’s game. Look, the Nuggets are absolutely rolling at the moment after winning three straight against the Clippers and should enter Game 1 against the Lakers with all the confidence in the world.
One factor to look at here is that the Nuggets are coming off of a grueling seven-game series and have had just two days of rest. The Lakers, on the other hand, haven’t played a game in six days. Sure, Los Angeles is well-rested, but it also could have been lulled a bit and gotten too comfortable. Add that to the fact that it’s going to be easy for the Lakers to overlook the Nuggets just like the Clippers did and it could be a tough battle in Game 1 for the Lake Show.
Like the Heat, the Nuggets are doing things their own way and finding ways to get things done. Yes, LeBron is on the other side of the floor this time around, but giving up seven points to arguably the hottest team in the playoffs is tough to ignore. Denver stays within seven points when it’s all said and done on Friday night.
