It seems that the possibility of an overseas NFL team is still very much on the table.

NFL Executive Vice President, Peter O’Reilly, hinted at this potential development during a podcast interview with ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

O’Reilly acknowledged the passionate fan bases overseas, noting that “You could sell out those games.

” However, he was quick to temper expectations by stating that “There’s nothing imminent there.”

Launching an NFL team outside the US comes with a few complex logistics, the league obviously knows that.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has constantly pushed international interest for the NFL and to expend beyond just playing in the United States.

Reports recently said that the league is looking into hosting games in Spain and Brazil.

The NFL London games are set to kick off next week in Week 4 between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Atlanta Falcons.

It’s pretty clear that the NFL is keeping its eyes on adding an international team, even if it won’t come any time soon.
