Everything old is new again. from movies to TV show to even cars. We’re eagerly awaiting Ford to officially unveil the 2020 Bronco. Chevy beat Ford to the punch with introducing the 2019 Blazer. From all of the rumors, Chevy is going a different direction with the Blazer than the Ford Bronco.
The Ford Bronco is expected to be an updated rugged, off-road capable, boxy truck of the classic SUV.
However, Chevy is going to make the revamped Blazer into a family crossover. This is probably a smart move since compact and mid-size crossover SUVs accounted for about 40% of all car sales in 2017 with the Toyota RAV4 coming as the fourth best-selling automobile, Nissan Rogue the fifth-most, Honda CR-V the seventh-most, Ford Escape the eleventh-most, and the Chevrolet Equinox the twelfth-most.The restyled Blazer has a very aggressive and very sporty design, it almost looks like a Lexus NX SUV with some styling stolen from the Camaro. For Blazer enthusiasts you might be disappointed because the updated SUV will not have body-on-frame construction or four-wheel drive. Instead of four-wheel drive, there will be a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system available on the Premier and RS models. The 2019 Blazer is a two-row, five-seat mid-size crossover SUV and fills a void in Chevrolet’s lineup and sits between the Equinox and Traverse.
