Lionsgate has released the first trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, the latest film from acclaimed British director Guy Ritchie, the filmmaker behind movies such as Snatch, Sherlock Holmes, and The Gentlemen.

The film, which stars Henry Cavill in the lead role, promises to tell the story of the “first-ever special forces mission.

” In addition to Cavill, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare also stars  Alan Ritchson, Eiza González, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, with Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes.

Here is the official synopsis for the The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, via Lionsgate:

Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming.

The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare hits movie theaters on Friday, April 19.

In addition to The Ministry of Ungentlemanly WarfareCavill also has a featured role in Argylle, the upcoming film from Matthew Vaughn, who actually produced Ritchie’s Snatch.
