Marvel Studios, under its new “Marvel Animation” banner, has released the first official trailer for X-Men ’97, which is a sequel series to the iconic X-Men cartoon from the 1990s.

The first season of X-Men ’97 will consist of 10 episodes and will premiere on Disney+ on March 20. Check out the official trailer for the series below.

Here’s the official synopsis for X-Men ’97, via Disney+:

“X-Men’97” revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.

X-Men ’97 sees the iconic original voice cast return, which includes Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler.

The release of the X-Men ’97 trailer caps a busy week for Marvel Studios, as they also debuted the first teaser for Deadpool & Wolverine during the Super Bowl and officially announced the cast of The Fantastic Four on Valentine’s Day.

After months of rumors, Marvel — via a retro, 1960s-set Valentine’s Day postcard shared on social media — confirmed that the cast of The Fantastic Four will be as follows: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Mass-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

In addition to announcing the cast, Marvel also confirmed that the title has been slightly tweaked from Fantastic Four to The Fantastic Four, and that the release date has been bumped from May 3, 2025 to July 25, 2025.
