Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson had a frustrating day in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs. Kansas City’s defensive unit harassed the signal caller throughout the contest, holding the Ravens to just 10 points.
Those frustrations came to a head late in the fourth quarter of action.
Attempting to lead a comeback, Jackson positioned his offense near the redzone trailing 17-7. A possession that began on their own one-yard line, the long drive was a last-ditch effort to get back into the ball game.
Unfortunately, a costly mistake would end those hopes.
Facing a 2nd-and-10 from the 25-yard line, Jackson dropped back to pass. He forced his throw into triple coverage resulting in an interception.
Picked off in the end zone! @Chiefs defense comes up big again.

The bad decision landed immediate criticism on social media, and Baltimore’s passer would show his own disappointment on the sidelines.
Lamar Jackson spiked his helmet on the way back over to the bench, knowing that the Ravens’ Super Bowl hopes had slipped away.
It was an awful night for the offense as a whole as nothing seemed to go right on the field.
Jackson’s pick was one of two turnovers for the Ravens in the endzone, with the other coming on a fumble at the goal line by Zay Flowers. The wideout had the ball knocked loose while diving towards paydirt, and Kansas City recovered for a touchback.
Flowers, too, reacted on the sidelines, leading to a finger injury.
Even the plays that went Baltimore’s way seemed difficult, including Lamar Jackson’s incredible reception of his own pass in the second quarter. Just a tough night, all around.
Baltimore has now been eliminated from the playoffs despite entering as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Kansas City, meanwhile, will represent the conference in the Super Bowl.
