I’m the first one to admit that there may not be a more meaningless sporting event than the NBA Celebrity All-Star game, traditionally aired on the Friday of All-Star Weekend. It’s usually a farce complete with bits and bad basketball, with some great WNBA players usually sprinkled in.
But, this year’s game had the most memorable moment in the history of the event, in my opinion. It was courtesy of famed wrestler “The Miz”.
With 0.7 seconds remaining in last night’s game, Team Ryan was trailing Team Dwyane with 0.7 seconds left, and didn’t have possession of the ball. What ensued was madness.
THE MIZ FROM HALFCOURT TO FORCE OT.
But didn't count…

Wow, what a sequence. Sadly, it didn’t count, as it was after the buzzer. But, what a shot by the Miz. And, since it was past the Ruffles four-point line, it would’ve won the game.
Not even close but the celebration was fun…

These people hustled more in the all star game than the Bulls have the past ten games.

He took four steps, but it was a four point shot, so I guess that’s okay.

Hopefully, the rest of All-Star Weekend keeps giving us good moments.
