Despite passing on running for the presidency in 2016, Joe Biden says he’s up for the challenge in 2020. Maybe.
“Yeah, I am. I am going to run in 2020,” Biden said when asked if he would run for office again. The current Vice President was asked what position he would seek and he responded, “For president.
And also, you know so, what the hell man, anyway.”Biden made the announcement on Monday to a small group of reporters who asked if he was joking.
“I’m not committing not to run. I’m not committed to anything. I learned a long time ago, fate has a strange way of intervening,” Biden said.
Iron Joe is 74-years-old, and would be 77-years-old on Election Day in 2020.
On May 30, 2015, Joe Biden’s son, Beau, died of cancer at the age of 46.
President Obama then put Biden in charge of carrying out the “moonshot” to cure cancer that Biden called for following his son’s death.
In October 2015, the Vice President formally announced that he would not pursue a presidential campaign in 2016. Biden said that the window had closed on “mounting a realistic campaign for president.”
It would be an amazing presidential race in 2020 to see Cup of Joe go up against Kanye West.
