New York Mets Fans Are Melting Down After Another Blown Lead Leads To Embarrassment

Everyone loves to laugh at the New York Mets. And, despite being a lifelong Mets fan, I get it. They routinely make a fool out of themselves, and life rooting for them is totally miserable. Their three-game series with the rival Atlanta Braves was deep into the abyss of Mets misery.

It’s early in the season, and while the most expensive baseball team ever assembled hasn’t been exactly good, they haven’t played themselves out of anything.

Coming into a three-game set in Atlanta, they were an even 30-30 and 5.5 back in the NL East with a chance to cut into the lead.

Instead, the New York Mets blew all three games while having a three-run lead or more in all three. Incredible. Only the Mets.

Mets are swept in ATL and have lost 6 in a row.

Blown leads of 3, 3,and 4 in these three games. Highest payroll of all-time. 8.5 out of first. 5-games behind the Marlins.

It culminated in a walk-off home run by Ozzie Albies in the 10th inning Thursday night after the mets had led 10-6.
