Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce Cracks Jokes At White House With President Biden

 

As is customary, the White House and President Joe Biden welcomed the Kansas City Chiefs to the White House on Friday to celebrate their second-straight Super Bowl. That means that Travis Kelce made his return to the White House yet again.

Kelce always seems to have a few jokes up his sleeve, even in places as uptight as the White House.

Friday was no exception, as he joked that if he stayed up at the podium any longer, he would get tased by White House security.

President Joe Biden called Travis Kelce to the podium, where Kelce fired up his joke. Take a look.

“My fellow Americans, It’s nice to see you all yet again. I’m not gonna lie, President Biden. They told me if I came up here I get tased, so I’m gonna go back to my spot,” Travis Kelce said.

These days, Travis Kelce is more famous for being the girlfriend of arguably the world’s most famous woman, Taylor Swift, than he is for being one of the greatest tight ends of all-time. I’m sure these comments will get even more run on social media due to that.

If you’re wondering why Taylor Swift wasn’t at the White House, she’s playing Eras Tour shows in Madrid, Spain this weekend. I’m sure everyone would’ve loved to have had her there.

Super Bowl Champions have been coming to the White House annually since 1980, when the Pittsburgh Steelers were invited by President Jimmy Carter. But, the history of sports teams coming to the White House dates back to 1865, just months after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
