Any time a player gets cut during the NFL’s preseason, it’s a tough day.
When that player’s brother is also cut by an entirely different team, that’s just a real nightmare.
Unfortunately, that’s what one set of NFL brothers is dealing with today.
It started early today with Adam Schefter reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles released Greedy Williams.

Greedy Williams was once a highly-touted cornerback prospect after a very successful college career at LSU.
Unfortunately, he never really lived up to expectations and wasn’t even starting for the Browns by his 4th year in the league.
He was facing an uphill battle for playing time when he joined the Eagles, who already have Darius Slay and James Bradberry at corner.
Now he’ll find himself looking to find another team where he’ll have an opportunity to earn a roster spot.
At the same time, his brother will also be looking for a new home.
According to ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan, Brian Daboll said corner Rodarious Williams was being released.

His career didn’t have the expectations that his brother’s did at the start.
He was drafted in the 6th round by the Giants in 2021.
He hasn’t had much of a chance to make an impact since he was drafted as he has spent a pretty big chunk of each of the last two seasons on IR.
He has played in just 8 games in those two seasons and will likely be the brother with the much tougher time finding a new team.
Now things will get interesting for the brothers as they’ll be fighting for roster spots at the same positon.
