One hell of a night last night not just for the NBA, but for anybody who followed the two “Bobby Locks” locks of the day. Both picks delivered last night as well as the overall game from an entertainment standpoint. Last night I loved the Jazz coming in at +2 and the Clippers at +5.5. I felt the young Pelicans roster was getting way too much credit from Vegas as favorites against a damn good Utah Jazz team.
I also felt +5.5 points was way too much to give to a rested Kawhi Leonard and a loaded Clippers staff, even without Lou Williams coming off of the bench.Now its time to keep this rolling right on into the weekend. Here are my two picks of the day as the NBA restart continues to roll right on.
Get off the tracks when the train is coming through, and today I think the Giannis Antetokounmpo train comes steamrolling through the Celtics. Even if he doesn’t come steamrolling, all the top 2020 MVP candidate has to do is win by 5. I love this Milwaukee team and think their size will be too much for the Celtics to handle today.
Shame on me for continuing to bet on one of the NBA’s most unpredictable teams, but yes I am doing it again. I think Russell Westbrook on this much rest can be a problem for his opponents and I can see the Rockets guard having a monster night tonight. That is if James Harden doesn’t decide to shoot the ball 40 times. Either way, I’m rolling with the Houston boys tonight.
