If you weren’t following #planebreakup on Twitter last night then you missed what was probably the live-tweeting event of the year. Twitter user @keegs141 kicked it off with a tweet reading “This guy on the plane just broke up w his girlfriend and she’s SOBBING”, and from there she proceeded to unleash a barrage of tweets regarding the couple’s rollercoaster breakup.
From the girl getting dumped completely losing her sh*t (while the plane was stuck on the runway) to the couple briefly reconnecting and making out after ordering 6 airplane sized vodka bottles + Bloody Mary mix, this live tweeting sesh had it all.I’ll take you through the rollercoaster ride that was #planebreakup, the hashtag that was so fascinating it actually went on to trend globally, and along that journey we saw a couple’s very, VERY public demise play out in front of the global Twitter community…people were enraptured, and @keegs141 managed to pick up 7,000 Twitter followers during her live tweet, which wouldn’t have ever happened if she hadn’t listened to the encouragement of Barstool U College Basketball blogger @BarstoolReags….
