There’s a ton of anticipation surrounding the impending arrival of College Football 25, and now, anyone who’s been waiting for the game to drop can officially mark their calendar now that EA Sports has announced a release date that’s close to two months away.

It’s hard to believe it’s been over a decade since EA Sports released the final installment in the NCAA Football franchise, which came to an end thanks to the Supreme Court decision that forced the publisher to abandon the series due to its inability to harness the name, image, and likeness of real players.

However, the company was presented with a golden opportunity in the wake of the NIL Era and took full advantage by getting to work on the video game that’s been dubbed College Football 25, which is one of the most anticipated releases on this year’s calendar.

We were treated to our first teaser in February ahead of an official reveal event that’s slated to unfold on May 17th, but on Thursday, we were treated to one of the most significant developments yet when the official Twitter account for College Football 25 updated its bio to announce the game will be dropping on Friday, July 19th.

However, it will be possible to get in on the action at an earlier date if you’re willing to pay a premium.

According to the listing for the Deluxe Edition of College Football 25 on the PlayStation Store, anyone who’s willing to pay $30 more than the $69.99 price for the standard edition will get three days of early access that will allow them to start playing at 4 P.M. EDT on July 15th.

The listing confirms College Football 25 will feature its own spin on the Madden Ultimate Team, as the deluxe edition features four team packs as well as 4,600 “College Football Points” that can presumably be used to purchase other unlockable items (the updated Twitter bio also says the game will “includes optional in-game purchases (includes random items).

We also got some more information concerning a “Heisman Version” of the game that will seemingly retail for $150, as the price tag is as high as it is because it also includes the newest version of Madden.
