Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are apparently very serious about fighting each other, but a few details need to be hashed out before they get into the cage.
Earlier this week Musk joking challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight, and things have escalated to the point where UFC president Dana White is having daily discussions between the two about having a potential fight.
In an interview with TMZ, White said he has spoken to Musk and Zuckerberg, and they both want to get the fight done.
“They both said, ‘Yeah, we’ll do it.’ They both want to do it,” White added. “Mark hit me up first and said, ‘Is [Elon] serious?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know, let me ask him.’ I asked him, and he said, ‘Yeah, I’m dead serious.’”
During today’s edition of the Pat McAfee show, White said there are several issues, including the fact that Musk likely weighs over 40 pounds more than the Facebook CEO.
When asked about drug testing and the weight issues, White said the solution was to make the fight an exhibition and probably not have it sanctioned by a commission.
“Well, the fight would be an exhibition and not sanctioned by a commission, but there are a lot of things to work through to get this fight done.” said White.
The UFC president respects that Elon and Zuck are willing to back up their words and get into the cage.
“What I love and what I respect is both of these guys are down, they both want to do it, they both want to fight”
