Antonio Brown Blames Former Teammate James Harrison For His Erratic Behavior And Subsequent Legal Troubles

Some of you out there may not be old enough to remember this.

But before he was a wannabe rap superstar and an alleged sex pest, Antonio Brown was once a very, very good NFL wide receiver.

The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Brown in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Central Michigan University.

Brown then quickly developed into one of the league’s best wide receiver, forming an impressive bond with QB Ben Roethlisberger.

He made his first Pro Bowl in 2011 and his first All-Pro team in 2014. From 2013 to 2018 there was genuinely no better wide receiver and perhaps no bigger offense weapon in the league

Of course, as most of you, things have since taken a turn for the worse. The Steelers traded a disgruntled Brown to the Oakland Raiders in the 2019 offeseason. But Brown never even played a down for Oakland. He the Raiders mutually agreed to his release and he then joined the New England Patriots.

He played just one game for the Patriots before being cut. Brown would played just 16 games over the final three seasons of his career. The former star ended his career by infamously storming off the field shirtless in the middle of a game against the New York Jets.

Since leaving the NFL, he’s had too many scandals to count and a number of run-ins with the law. But now he says he knows exactly where things went wrong.

Brown went on Instagram Live on Saturday and said that a hit from former Steelers teammate James Harrison caused CTE which has changed his behavior.

“I wanted to tell you guys that I think James Harrison gave me CTE,” he began. “James Harrison had an illegal helmet for over 20 years in the NFL. And he hit me one time and ever since he hit me I’ve been super aggressive. So blame James Harrison for my CTE.”

Fans didn’t rule out the possibility of Brown having CTE. But they didn’t seem sold on the Harrison theory.

Harris has not yet commented on the matter. But it’s just another incident of Brown blaming someone else for his behavior.
