- The famously outspoken Patrick Beverely was a guest at ESPN’s NYC studio on Monday and Tuesday
- The Timberwolves guard continued to spew the hottest of takes.
- One of his main talking points on Tuesday was that James Harden deserves a SuperMax contract.
After spending a majority of Monday talking smack about Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul on various ESPN shows, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley returned to the network’s studio on Tuesday for some more antics.
Once again appearing across ESPN’s morning line-up of programming — Get Up, First Take, Sportscenter, etc. — Beverley used his Tuesday airtime to get on his soapbox for James Harden by claiming he deserves a Supermax contract from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Beverley’s comments about Harden come just a day after he lambasted Paul for being a “cone” on defense while also accusing him of faking an injury following the Suns’ Game 7 loss to the Mavericks.
“Do I go to bed at 10 pm the night before playing Chris Paul? Hell no,” Beverley told Mike Greenberg and Stephen A. Smith on Get Up. “But if I’m playing Steph Curry tomorrow, I’m going to bed at 8 o’clock and telling my girl not to call me!”
Pat Bev’s comments certainly haven’t gone over well with the entire NBA world, though, as ESPN NBA analyst Matt Barnes used a segment on NBA Today to call out Beverley — whose career pales in comparison to Paul’s, as Barnes rightly points out — for being disrespectful.

Beverley’s shtick also seems to have worn thin with the audience, too, as many NBA fans took to Twitter on Tuesday to bemoan the fact that Beverley was still appearing on ESPN’s shows.
NBA fans are already tired of Patrick Beverley’s antics on ESPN

Watching Pat Bev day 2 on First Take shows just how much commentating is a craft. Yesterday he was exciting and new. Today he lacks depth and the ability to refute.

I have no clue why Patrick Beverly thinks James harden deserves Supermax. Makes zero sense.

Pat Bev really saying Harden deserves a supermax deal after attempting 2 shots in a close out game. Now sir…

During the Suns’ crucial Game 7, the 37-year-old future Hall of Famer had just 10 points, four assists, and one rebound.
Following their Game 7 victory over the top-seeded Suns, Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks will head to the Bay Area on Wednesday night to take on Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and the #3 seed Golden State Warriors.
