The Cheez-It Citrus Bowl mascot does not want to suffer the same fate as the Pop-Tart. It made a desperate plea to avoid an untimely death in Orlando on Monday afternoon.
If none of this makes any sense to you, congratulations. You have a normal brain.
For those of you who know exactly what I am talking about, welcome.
This is a safe space for Sickos! The Pop-Tarts Bowl took place at Camping World Stadium last week. At the forefront of what was actually a very good game, was the mascot.

It was the first-ever edible mascot in college football history. Kind of.
They pulled a bait-and-switch after doubling down that the actual mascot itself was edible, which was a huge bummer. However, the spectacle that took place surrounding the mascot was still glorious.
The Pop-Tart wanted so badly to be eaten throughout the game. Its entire life purpose was to be toasted and devoured by the winning team.
That is exactly what happened, kind of.
As soon as the clock hit zero, the mascot was lowered into a toaster. Kansas State then consumed its dead corpse following its remarkable sacrifice.

May the Pop-Tart mascot rest in peace in the bellies of the Wildcats!
The Cheez-It did not want to die.
Four days after the Pop-Tarts Bowl took place at Camping World Stadium, Cheez-It took over. The Citrus Bowl was played on the same field on New Year’s Day.

The square orange mascot associated with the game was unwilling to lay its life on the line like its Pop-Tart predecessor. Ched-Z the Cheez-It arrived to the game in style.

It was up to no good throughout the game!

However, unlike Pop-Tart, Ched-Z does not want to be eaten and made that abundantly clear.
It is not edible.

While we appreciate Ched-Z’s efforts, I’m not entirely sure that the decision isn’t up to the players. If the winning team wants it badly enough, anything is edible!
