Maggie Sajak, the 29-year-old daughter of longtime Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, will be getting a turn on stage to turn over some letters this week.
Maggie Sajak will be getting this rare opportunity because legendary letter-turner Vanna White will be playing the game on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune for Ultimate Host Night.
She appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Monday to promote her upcoming appearance by serving as the show’s bartender.
Diehard Wheel of Fortune fans will already be familiar with Maggie Sajak as she has served as the game show’s Social Correspondent since 2021.
Maggie has actually served as the letter-turner on Wheel once before when her dad Pat Sajak missed a week of shows recovering from surgery in 2020.
Celebrity Wheel of Fortune will air this week on Wednesday and will feature Vanna White going up against Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik, the co-hosts of Jeopardy!.
“Warming up for Wednesday,” Maggie Sajak captioned a boomerang of herself checking out the set.
“I hope to make Vanna proud,” Maggie shared by Bialik, with her 76-year-old dad Pat adding, “I think I’m gonna cry.”
Maggie graduated from Princeton University, finished a postgraduate program at Columbia University, and is currently completing her final year of law school.
“The Wheel of Fortune staff and crew have always been like an extended family and I’m thrilled to be working with them,” Maggie said about her duties on the show. “It’s a real privilege to be able to treat the show’s longtime viewers to a look at what goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling. Plus, I get to use the carpool lane with my father!”
Many fans assume that Maggie will take over either for her dad or for Vanna White when they finally decide to retire. Unfortunately, not everyone is thrilled about that prospect.
