Seattle Storm point guard Nika Muhl is part of the most highly-scrutinized and most popular rookie class in WNBA history. Even though they are the future, it has been made abundantly clear that there is some hostility toward them from/by league veterans.
That is not to say that the two groups of players cannot get along, but both parties have certainly had their fair share of disagreements during the early season.
As Monica McNutt pointed out during an appearance on Night Cap, multiple truths can exist. There can be jealousy and appreciation at the same time! This whole dialogue does not need to be so linear.

With that being said, it is hard to ignore optics.
Caitlin Clark was blindsided a nasty cheap shot from a vet over the weekend after getting into it with Victoria Vivians just a few days prior. Angel Reese was clobbered by Alyssa Thomas during a physical battle in the paint last week. The kerfuffles are piling up!
It also appears as though there might be some disgruntlement amongst teammates. A new video of Muhl is the perfect example.
Seattle’s second round pick (No. 14 overall) was unable to play in her first few games because of some issues with her visa. Although everything has been cleared up, she only averages a few minutes per game.
That isn’t stopping her from making an impact!
Nika Muhl has become a crucial voice on the bench. However, a new video appears to show that her way of approaching the game might not be what her teammates want. Sixth-year veteran Mercedes Russell brushed her off.
Muhl put her hand on Russell’s leg. Russell hit Muhl with a nasty look and quickly slid the hand off of her leg.

There is obviously a way to read way too far into a short, out-of-context clip. But…
It is hard to see it any other way!
