On Tuesday night, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark made the most-anticipated debut in the history of the WNBA. Clark and her Fever teammates traveled to Uncasville, Connecticut to take on the Connecticut Sun.
Given the unprecedented popularity of Caitlin Clark there were thousands of Clark, and in turn, Indiana Fever fans at Mohegan Sun Arena.
And, the Sun’s production team had a great bit involving those fans.In the spirit of kiss cams or dance cams, the Sun did a “bandwagon cam” that surely elicited laughs inside the arena. Take a look.

That’s one of the most creative in-arena production bits I’ve ever seen. It’s brilliant. I’d say 90%+ fans of the Indiana Fever are bandwagon fans at this point.
Can you blame those bandwagon fans, though? Caitlin Clark’s tremendous college career at Iowa captivated sports fans like no women’s basketball player ever has before. The two-time National Player of the Year left college as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. She led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back national runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2024.
Now, she’s likely going to elevate the stature and cultural reach of the WNBA. In the process, there will be a lot of bandwagon Caitlin Clark fans.
