New York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis he announced his decision to step away from the NFL at the age of 28.

Davis shared the news through a statement on his Instagram account, expressing his contemplation over this significant decision.

While he did not explicitly use the term “retire,” the implications of his message were clear.

“I’ve been contemplating stepping away from the sport of football for some time now,” Davis conveyed in his statement. He continued, “This decision has not been easy.
