Eddie Pepperell is one of the funniest guys in golf. The man loves his wine and he loves making people laugh and he delivered yet again in the making people laugh department during an interview at the Portugal Masters on Friday.
While winning this week is priority No. 1 for Pepperell, he’s playing for something else as well.
He and two-time major winner Martin Kaymer apparently had a friendly wager going and if Pepperell beat him on Friday then Pepperell gets to apply Kaymer for a popular reality dating show in England called First Dates. All to play for between @PepperellEddie and @MKaymer59 today 🤣 #PortugalMasters pic.twitter.com/z385sIJp5E

We’ll see if Kaymer holds up his end of the deal and appears on the show because Pepperell beat him on Friday firing a 66 all thanks to the romantic motivation; Kaymer shot 70. Pepperell’s just looking out for his buddy who ‘needs’ a soul mate, so if you think about it Pepperell might’ve done Kaymer a pretty big solid by kicking his ass Friday.
For those that don’t know, First Dates is a show where participants go on a date in England at London’s Paternoster Chop House and at the end of the date they have to decide if they’re interested in a second date.
Kaymer will get a nice steak and maybe even a soul mate if he applies for the show, which if he does I don’t see how the program would turn him away.
Pepperell is just the best, always looking out for his buddies and making the rest of the world laugh along the way.
