Tickets for the highly anticipated Mike Tyson–Jake Paul fight on July 20th at Cowboys Stadium are already getting out of control.
Tickets haven’t officially gone on sale but are already listed on ticket reselling sites such as Stubhub, Vivid Seat, and the Gametime app.
According to a rep for the Gametime app, the lowest-cost/get-in tickets are available for $575 each (including taxes and fees) with ring-side seats selling for $8,067 per seat.
A StubHub representative explained why tickets are being sold on reselling apps before they’ve officially gone on sale to the public.
“You may see a ticket listed on StubHub before an event’s pre-sale or on-sale date,” StubHub told USA TODAY Sports. “This is because tickets are distributed across venues, sponsors, key players and individuals involved with the event, who know they have tickets and can’t always use them.”
“It’s important to note there is no incentive for a seller to post a ticket on StubHub they can’t deliver. As part of our seller policies, we prohibit sellers from listing a ticket they can’t provide.”
On Monday, Tyson and Paul will face off for the first time at a press conference in New York.
According to MVP promotions Nikasa Bidarian, 85,000 people have already signed up for presale tickets, and he believes that tickets will sell out.
