Plenty of golfers have dipped behind a tree to take care of business after nature calls during a round, and while most of them don’t have to worry about being caught on camera, one competitor at the Sony Open appeared to literally get caught with their pants down on Thursday.
Last year, John Rahm fielded a question about the one thing he’d change on the PGA Tour if he was given the opportunity and had a fairly surprising (if not practical) response: more bathrooms on the course.
The organization actually decided to address that issue prior to the start of the current season, although it wasn’t enough to stop the Spaniard from making the leap to LIV Golf.
Based on that development, you’d think there would be more than enough bathrooms to go around when players arrived at Waiʻalae Country Club in Honolulu for the Sony Open, which officially kicked off on Thursday. However, based on one clip that surfaced during the opening round, it doesn’t appear that was the case.
Keegan Bradley may have been the primary subject in a shot that captured him lining up a putt on the green, but it was kind of hard to ignore a guy dressed in pink and black who appeared in the background before walking up to a tree and seemingly unbuckling his belt before the shot cut away.

Now, I’m not going to definitively say the golfer in question was Joseph Bramlett. With that said, after scrolling through hundreds of pictures that were taken during the first day of the Sony Open, I didn’t encounter anyone else who was sporting a pink shirt, black pants, and a white hat on the course.
Again, there is no indisputable proof Bramlett is the man who may or may not have peed on a tree, but I’ll let you come to your own conclusions.
