WNBA legend Diana Taurasi doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Angel Reese.
Earlier this week, Reese and LSU were eliminated from the NCAA tournament after losing the game.
After the loss, Reese announced she would be joining the WNBA draft, where she’s projected to go 8th overall.
On Friday night, Taurasi and Sue Bird were featured in an alternate telecast of the Women’s Final Four game between Iowa and UConn.
During the telecast, producers showed a clip of Reese waving bye-bye to Middle Tennessee’s Anastasiia Boldyreva.
Taurasi immediately joked by saying Reese was waving “bye bye to your own career.”

Taurasi received backlash on the Internet for her comment.
This what I mean when I say we defending Angel, because old vets like her will want to hop on the hate bandwagon. Your career been gone, and all you doing is taking up USA spots, and team roster spots. I expected to see it soon this is what I mean Exhibit A: https://t.co/kGCdt3AsvQ

Jealous of a 21 year old Angel Reese because she could never get as much attention as Angel. Taurasi should’ve waved bye-bye to her floundering career years ago. Angel won’t have to dribble a ball in Russia. DT should get out her feelings and get a bag. https://t.co/uVJhqIT5h5

It’s going to be interesting when Taurasi plays against Reese in the WNBA next season.
