Multiple Jets Accuse Mecole Hardman Of Leaking Team’s Game Plan To Eagles Right Before He Was Traded

Mecole Hardman recently made it very clear he didn’t enjoy his time as a member of the Jets, and it would appear some of his former teammates were glad to see him go when you consider they accused him of trying to sabotage his own squad before he was traded.

When the most recent NFL season kicked off, Mecole Hardman was playing wide receiver for the New York Jets.

However, his time with the franchise came to an end after just five games (in which he recorded a single catch) before he headed back to the team he started his career with following the trade that sent him to the Kansas City Chiefs.

That move ended up working out pretty well for Hardman, who bid adieu to a team that missed the playoffs after finishing 7-10 and ultimately caught the touchdown pass that secured Kansas City’s victory over the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

Earlier this week, Hardman essentially treated us to a public exit interview during a podcast appearance where he put the Jets on blast for their lackluster coaching and an offensive philosophy that imploded following the loss of Aaron Rodgers, admitting he checked out mentally once he realized he wasn’t going to fit in.

It didn’t take long for some members of the Jets to fire back.

where he warned about the dangers of putting too much stake into the testimony of”disgruntled former employees,” but it’s pretty clear he was the target of a message where the punter implied the wideout was salty about getting reps taken away from him by a rookie.

Sauce Gardner also neglected to name any names in a now-deleted tweet. although it sure seemed like he accused Hardman of leaking New York’s game plan to the Eagles before the two teams faced off on October 15th (four days before he was traded to the Chiefs).

Why would Hardman go out of his way to tip off the Eagles? Well, as Jets tight end Kenny Yeboah pointed out in a tweet where he was explicitly referring to his ex-teammate, the WR initially made a name for himself with the Georgia Bulldogs—a team that produced six players who were on Philadelphia’s roster last season.

It’s worth noting the Jets walked away with the 20-14 win over the Eagles in the contest in question, so if Hardman did give his opponents some inside info, they weren’t able to capitalize.
