Angel Reese has been fined by the WNBA. The league officially slapped the rookie with a $1,000 punishment for not making herself available to the media following a game against the Indiana Fever.

At one point in the contest, she was seen actively cheering on a teammate who’d taken an egregious cheap shot at Caitlin Clark.

Reporters wouldn’t have the opportunity to ask her about that moment after the loss!

Reese dodged the media room after the fact, nowhere to be found following her exciting initial pro faceoff against Clark. The two completely overtook college basketball airwaves during a pair of incredible NCAA Tournament matchups, one of which decided the national champion.

Angel Reese was quick to speak on that championship win, as well as her disrespectful mockery of Iowa’s superstar at that point in time.

After the Sky’s 71-70 loss in Indiana on Saturday, though, the script flipped!

Upset with the outcome? Avoiding criticism from her reaction to that cheap shot? Her antics from the bench certainly landed a response from fans and media on social media.

While we’re not sure the reason for that absence, we did learn on Sunday that her bank account will suffer the consequences!

Angel Reese landed a $1,000 fine from the WNBA.

The Chicago Sky was also fined an additional $5,000 for breaking the media availability policy.

Angel Reese didn’t seem too overly concerned about the penalty, which will come from her $81,000 annual salary. She posted a photo slideshow flaunting her pregame fit on Sunday morning after news of the fine went public.

A caption simply read, “legz,” as she tagged beauty company Revolve in the post. It’s one of a number of partners on her never-ending list of major brand deals.

She’s not worried about the $1,000 fine. She’ll make it back and more off the court!
