Those two moves alone cleared about $26 million from their cap space.

The Rams traded Woods to the Titans last year in exchange for a 2023 six-round pick. Due to injuries at the Titans quarterback position, Woods had one of the worst seasons in his career, averaging only 9.9 yards per catch. He caught 53 passes 527 yards with two touchdowns.
Woods, who turns 31 in April, was set to be a $14.6 million hit against the team’s salary cap in 2023.
A former 2nd-round pick in the 2013 draft, Woods played on the Bills prior to signing with the Rams in free-agency in 2017. He totaled 7,604 yards in his career across all three teams he’s played on, with 37 touchdowns.
Woods did tear his ACL in 2021, which might’ve impacted his play last season in Tennessee, but teams will still be open to sign him to at least a one-year deal.
With his release, Woods can now visit and sign with any NFL team he wants to.
