LeBron James caused a bit of a stir after showing up unannounced to a Cavs playoff game.
On Monday night, LeBron stunned fans when he strolled into his old home arena with his wife and a large wine bottle to sit courtside to watch the Cavs and the Celtics play.

Of course, every sports cable TV show is now talking about LeBron’s appearance at the Cavs game.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst says that several league executives texted him last night about LeBron’s surprise appearance in Cleveland, and while Windy doesn’t know anything at the moment, he believes that Bron is “up to something.”
“I will say this, the first thing I thought of was this moment 10 years ago where LeBron showed up to a game in Cleveland while he was a player for the Miami Heat to honor Zydrunas Ilgauskas’ Jersey retirement, his longtime teammate. And he got in a private plane, flew from Chicago over to Cleveland on an off night. Pat Riley was not happy. And a few months later he signed with the Cavs…he’s extremely strategic and I wish I could tell you I knew exactly what he is doing. I don’t pretend to know, but he’s gotta be up to something.”

Maybe LeBron just wanted to have a few drinks while enjoying a night out, but people like Windhorst and Skip Bayless will surely overreact to Bron attending a Cavs game in May.
Did I see LeBron at the Cavs game in Cleveland? Brilliant! He shows up on the night the Cavs are without their two best players, making sure he doesn't risk a big Cavs win and fans yelling (or at least thinking), "We don't miss you."

The wine that LeBron James was drinking was a bottle of Opus One from Napa Valley, one of California’s most-awarded and most-expensive wines. It’s. unclear which vintage he was sipping but individual bottles of Opus One regularly sell for $400 and up.
What makes Opus One such an exquisite California wine is somewhat paradoxical in that it’s made in the style of a Bordeux First Growth wine. It is also not a strict Cabernet. Opus One blends five grape varietals (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec) which all explode with flavor.
It’s a quintessential steakhouse wine for those who can afford it. Right up there with Screaming Eagle and Romanee Conti as far as prestige goes. And at those ultra premium price points, it’s less about how expensive the wine is unless someone’s ‘new money’ and wants to show off, and more about whether or not the wine is perfect for drinking right now. Typically, Opus One vintages drink best with 10 years on the shelf so it’s safe to assume that LeBron, who knows his wine as well as anyone, is drinking a 2014 or older vintage here.
