In her last game, Indiana Fever rookie guard Caitlin Clark showed signs that she was settling into the WNBA. After struggles in her first two games, she had 22 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds in their third game, losing to the New York Liberty on Sunday, 91-80.
But, all that momentum seems all for naught.
Caitlin Clark picked up what looked to be a semi-serious ankle injury, and then lashed out afterward.Take a look at the injury. Though it doesn’t show her smacking the chair, the Tweet author is covering the game and can be considered a reliable source.

That looks like a brutal ankle sprain. My ankle hurts just watching it. I can see why she lashed out after the injury, because that had to have hurt.
Somehow, it seems likely she’s avoided even a moderate injury. Caitlin Clark is ready to go for the second half.

Still, that ankle is definitely something to keep an eye on for the rest of the season. As we all know, the more an ankle gets turned, the weaker it seems to get. It would be a shame to have one of the best talents women’s basketball has ever seen to have her career derailed by ankle injuries that sap her of her athleticism.
Clark had 8 points in the first half of the game against the Connecticut Sun, the team that dominated the Fever in Clark’s WNBA debut.
