WWE announcer Michael Cole was extremely emotional at the end of WrestleMania 40.
On Sunday night, Cody Rhodes “finished the story” and became the first person in the storied Rhodes’ family to win the WWE Championship belt after defeating Roman Reigns.

After the match, a slew of wrestlers came into the ring to celebrate with Rhodes.
The new WWE champ eventually jumped out of the ring and embraced Cole, who was in tears.

Earlier this year, Rhodes credited Cole for getting the “finish the story” phrase over with fans.
