Tennessee Titans rookie offensive tackle JC Latham is a big man. The 7th-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft is a mountain of a man and was one of the strongest prospects in the draft.
So, you’d think that he would be able to push around any blocking sled during his first rookie mini-camp that manufacturers make.
After all, for a guy like that, those blocking sleds can be kind of puny.If that was your thought, you thought wrong. Enter “Bertha”, a custom-manufactured sled that weighs a whopping 380 lbs engineered by legendary offensive line coach Bill Callahan.
Callahan is with the Titans now, and that means Bertha is also with the Titans. This week, the Alabama rookie got to go up against what’s surely the biggest blocking sled he’s ever gone up against. Here’s how it went.
WILD… Legendary offensive line coach Bill Callahan created a special blocking sled called Bertha that is 380 pounds and it only moves if it is hit properly

JC Latham was measured at 6-foot-5 3/4 and 342 lb at the NFL Combine, so we all know he’s a big dude. He reportedly benched over 500 lbs and squatted over 1000 lbs. That should tell you how tough Bertha is to move, because Latham is really struggling.
There isn’t a player that weighs as much as Bertha in the NFL currently, which is good news for Latham and the other Titans linemen. Bertha might be the most unmovable defensive lineman they see all season!
Latham is expected to slot in at left tackle to protect second-year quarterback Will Levis’s blindside come this fall.
