Two-way college football star Travis Hunter Jr. got his first taste of bull riding at the elimination round of the PBR World Finals in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend. After not knowing what to expect on Night 1, he went all-out for Night 2.
The 20-year-old defensive back and wide receiver pulled up with the drip on Sunday!
Hunter, from Palm Beach, spent a year in Jackson, Mississippi before transferring to Colorado and loves to go bass fishing. He might have some country in him, but he was not overly familiar with the whole cowboy scene.
That changed down in the Lone Star State. Hunter showed up to surprise teenage bull riding phenom John Crimber prior to his eight-second ride that secured him a check for $35,000. The latter hit the Heisman Trophy pose for the former after hanging on through the buzzer, which sent him into a frenzy.
It was clear that Hunter was completely hooked in that moment and one night was not enough!

He and his fiancé, Leanne Lenee, returned to Cowtown Coliseum for the final round of the weekend and they both made sure to look the part. Hunter wore a plain white t-shirt and joggers on Saturday. His outfit was completely different on Sunday.

Hunter rocked a cowboy hat, pearl-snap button shirt, blue jeans, boots and a big belt buckle. Deion Sanders called it “clean.” Lenee called him her “little country boy.” Crimber joked that it is time to get him on a bull, which surely would not go over well with Coach Prime or any NFL teams with hopes of drafting Hunter next year.
Not only did the potential first round draft pick fit right in, he had a blast. Hunter was cutting a rug!
To make the entire weekend even cooler, Crimber is one step closer to becoming the youngest-ever world champion after chopping it up with his favorite college football player. Great success!
