Josh Rosen had an incredibly entertaining career in college while playing for the UCLA Bruins.
From wearing a “F–k Trump” hat and throwing shade at the NCAA to trashing Alabama and having a hot tub in his dorm room, Rosen was never far from controversy.
Most of that controversy was of his own doing – like when he took a thinly veiled shot at the Cleveland Browns before the draft, which led to him dropping to 10th overall in that draft.
While his skills were unquestioned, his commitment to football was not.
Fast forward to this season and those questions still remain as Rosen has been under contract to six different teams in less than five years: the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns.
On Monday, Rosen, who has earned almost $19 million for throwing just 513 career passes in the NFL, was cut by the 2-3 Browns. So now the 25-year-old will be looking for a seventh team willing to pay him to not play (he’s thrown just 11 passes in a game since 2019).
Considering he was fifth on the Brown’s QB depth chart behind Deshaun Watson, Jacoby Brissett, Kellen Mond and Joshua Dobbs, it would be rather surprising if someone does.
Then again, the Carolina Panthers just made Steve Wilks their interim head coach. Wilks was Josh Rosen’s head coach in his rookie year with Arizona when they went 3-13 (.188) before being fired by the Cardinals and Rosen was traded to Miami.

NFL fans, seeing that Josh Rosen is once again on the market, had a plethora of suggestions for what his next move should be, as well as no shortage of humorous comments.
This doesn't make sense. I thought the media consensus was he was a future Hall of Famer who got a raw deal in Arizona... and Miami... and Tampa... and San Francisco.... and Atlanta... and Cleveland.
