Breanna Stewart had a monster game against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever days after a chartered flight controversy.
While Clark and the Fever went viral earlier this week when they showed off their chartered flight on social media, teams like the NY Liberty have been forced to travel by bus as the WNBA figures out the chartered flight situation.
While speaking to the media this week, the reigning WNBA MVP fired a shot at the league for offering chartered flights to certain teams and not allowing others to find a solution on their own.
“2 out of 5 WNBA teams traveling today are on WNBA charters – and that’s a win,” Stewart posted on X. “It could be a bigger one if the W allowed teams who were not offered League charters to secure their own until a full 12 team solution is ready.”
The WNBA recently announced that players will fly on charter flights for road games. Breanna Stewart, who has two children with wife Marta, appreciates the new travel perk — as well as other benefits for parents under the current CBA. https://t.co/fOTurZ8LJK pic.twitter.com/qGv4vA5khj
