Bryson DeChambeau Holes Out From Tee, But Not For An Ace During Masters Par 3 Contest

For the average golfer, a hole-in-one can be one-in-a-million shot. At the annual Masters Par 3 Contest on the Wednesday preceding the tournament, it’s much less rare, with well over 100 aces since the competition’s inception in 1960.

Few, if any, balls holed out from the tee box during the Par 3 Contest have been as unique as Bryson DeChambeau’s in today’s Par 3 Contest.

Bryson stepped up to the par 3 8th hole and hit his first shot into the water. It’s the Par 3 Contest, so the stakes are incredibly low, but he has to hope that that’s the last ball of his finds the water all week.

Now hitting his third shot, he hit a perfect golf shot. No, seriously, it was perfect. Take a look.

He dunked it! Sadly, it will go down as a 3, not a 1. But, still a cool memory that he will have going forward. I wonder if he’s going to consider it a hole-in-one when people ask him how many he’s made in his golf life. To me, it’s not, but i wouldn’t be opposed to someone counting it. It’s not like the odds changed.

Rickie Fowler won the Par 3 Contest with a score of -5, but it was his daughter, Maya, along with Jordan Spieth’s son, Sammy, that stole the show.

The 2024 Masters kicks off tomorrow. Bryson DeChambeau is +3500 to take home his first Green Jacket and second major championshp.
